What does the term 'LWB' mean?
LWB stands for long wheel base. Recumbent bicycles typically come in several styles. LWB, SWB, CLWB, tricycles and tandems. Long wheel base (LWB)recumbents are typically touring bicycles. The front wheel on these models are usually behind the pedals. The compact long wheel base (CLWB) models are also a touring model but they are a little easier to transport. The CLWB models are very popular with RVers. The tricycles are are available in two styles, delta and tadpole. The delta trikes have one wheel in the front and two in the rear. The tadpole trikes have two wheels in the front and one wheel in the rear.
